This page shows the "Innovating trust paradigm of critical social IT infrastructure by Trusted Network Ecosystem" exploried and tested by Alaxala Networks Corporation, in the 2022 "Use Case Demonstration Project of the Trusted Web".

Current issues and What Trusted Web Solves



Data to verify

  • Utilize DID/VC to verify that the provided products have not been tampered with (authenticity).
    • Product configuration information (e.g., HBOM/SBOM, device serial number, software-hashed value)
    • Digital certificate (NFT) of the owner of the application
    • RFID attached to the actual product

Checking against the information above for the authenticity. The authenticity of the Trust BOM information of the product can be verified by the signature of VC. The history of recording these information is recorded on the blockchain and it is impossible to tamper.


Achievements

  • Creation and demonstration of Trusted Web use cases
    • As a use case of Trusted Web, a mechanism (Trusted Network) to confirm the authenticity of IT product in the supply chain of IT equipment procurement was planned and verified.
  • Trusted Web Use Case Prototype
    • The prototype of Trusted Network was developed, and it was verified that it operated as expected by the proof of the value by the prototype in OKINAWA Open Laboratory as a system which satisfied the requirement of Trusted Web.
